This mod represents a compilation of PnP related tweaks and various house rules which are designed to bring more consistency to the gameplay. It works on normal Baldur’s Gate II games as well as either of the two Baldur’s Gate conversion projects: (Easy)Tutu and Baldur’s Gate Trilogy (BGT). In summary, aTweaks can bring several classes, races, spells, items and creatures closer to their PnP counterparts, add more consistency to the gameplay by making sensible rule adjustments and eliminating exploits, and make it easier to distinguish between creatures with similar avatars through the use of recoloring techniques. The mod is divided into multiple components all of which can be installed separately and are completely independent of each other. More detailed descriptions of all components can be found in the readme.
Summary of what is new in version 3.40:
This minor release makes some major changes to the “PnP Fiends” and “Revised Fiend Summoning” components. The sum total is that aTweaks’ fiends should now better integrate with SCSII, and, in the future, possibly with other mods as well. You can read more about the particulars here.

A new version of Faren has been released, with a number of fixes as well as new crossmod with both Chloe and Fade!
Faren is a joinable NPC, playable in Baldur’s Gate 2: Shadows of Amn and Throne of Bhaal. Found in the Trademeet Jail, Faren is a True Neutral dual-classed Fighter/Thief.
When asked about his past, Faren gives you a mock-suspicious glare and blithely says that there is little to tell. Hailing from Trademeet, he worked for the town militia when he was younger. After leaving this job - an event he recalls somewhat ruefully - he travelled to Luskan with a group of adventurers, with whom he made close friends.
He is glad to be back on the road, saying he gets itchy feet if he stays still for too long, and despite his laid-back approach to life he seems happiest when wading into action.
Faren is able to romance male or female PCs of any alignment and any race. There is detailed non-romantic content for PCs who are not interested in Faren as a romantic interest.

The SoA portion of the Darian NPC romance mod by Tempest has been released!
Darian is one of the Avariel, the enigmatic and almost extinct winged elves. He has come to Athkatla pursuing rumors that one of his kin is imprisoned in the human city, but things are not as he expects. Darian bears the legacy of thousands of years of hostility and distrust towards the grounded races, but those attitudes may not survive first contact with the people whom the Avariel tell stories of to frighten misbehaving children. For all his faults, xenophobia and arrogance prominent among them, Darian’s fundamental intentions are good and his heart honorable. Cracking his shell will prove difficult, but it may just prove worthwhile. You can find Darian outside the Copper Coronet in the Athkatla Slums.
This mod includes:
- A romance for eligible females.
- Player-initiated dialogue and flirting, some restricted to the romantically inclined but some not.
- Banters with the Bioware NPCs.
- Numerous interjections and reactions to the world of Baldur’s Gate II.
- An evolving character who is unlikely to leave the Bhaalspawn’s company the same man who joined it.
- An original portrait drawn by the very talented Ilmatar.
